Biscotti Fever :)

I decided to go on a mission on trying different kinds of Biscotti. Gio is Italian and I really wanted to impress him and possibly his family with some really nice Biscotti. Here are some of the recipes I already tried :

Almond Chocolate Biscotti

Boxed cake mix makes this biscotti easy to prepare, but the taste and appearance make it memorable. “I’ve given neighbors these decadent chocolate-covered delights for the holidays,” writes Ginger Charfield of Muscatine, Iowa

See Almond Chocolate Biscotti on Key Ingredient.

Brownie Biscotti

A chocolate version of an Italian favorite. You can substitute milk for the water in the egg wash, if you wish

See Brownie Biscotti on Key Ingredient.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Orange Almond Biscotti

These biscotti are very low in fat but they are delicious. You can substitute the almonds with 3/4 cup cranberries

See Orange Almond Biscotti on Key Ingredient.

Chocolate-and-Pistachio Biscotti

Nutty, chocolate biscotti perfect for dunking in coffee or tea.

See Chocolate-and-Pistachio Biscotti on Key Ingredient.

I hope you enjoy these sweet delights :)

Believe it or NOT...

1. In the name New York City = 11 letters
2. In the name Afghanistan = 11 letters
3. In the name Ramsin Yuseb (a terrorist who planned the terror on the Twin Towers in New York) = 11 letters
4. In the name George W. Bush = 11 letters

This might seem as a coincidence, but continue reading further:
  1. New York is an 11th state in the United States
  2. On a plane №11 were 92 passengers (9 + 2 = 11)
  3. On a plane №77 (which is another plane that cashed into the towers) were 65 passengers (6 + 5 = 11)
  4. The tragedy happened on September 11 or 11.09 (1+1+9=11)
  5. Emergency phone number in USA is 911 (9+1+1=11)
  6. Number of people suffered the crush came to 254 (2+5+4=11)
  7. September 11 is a 254th day of the year (2+5+4=11)
  8. In 3.11.2004 Madrid suffered bombings (3+1+ 1+2+0+0+4 =11)
  9. The tragedy in New York happened 911 days after the bombing in Madrid (9+1+1=11)

And now, try this little trick:
  1. Open Microsoft Word
  2. Type Q33 NY (this is the number of the first plane that crashed into the Towers)
  3. Change the font size to 72
  4. Change the font to WINDINGS (WINDINGS 1)
…..These facts could be just a coincidence, but is it?
And if all of this is true, what is going to happen next?

I know its a bit too early but I just wanted to take a minute and pray for all those who survived and for the families who lost their loved ones in this horrific crash.

Policeman Testifies in Court.....You'll Love This!!!

If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman.
He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial. The lawyer was trying to undermine the policeman's credibility....

Q: "Officer -- did you see my client fleeing the scene?"

A: "No sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away."

Q: "Officer -- who provided this description?"

A: "The officer who responded to the scene."

Q: "A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?"

A: "Yes, sir. With my life."

Q: "With your life? Let me ask you this then officer. Do you have a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?"

A: "Yes sir, we do!"

Q: "And do you have a locker in the room?"

A: "Yes sir, I do."

Q: "And do you have a lock on your locker?"

A: "Yes sir."

Q: "Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?"

A: "You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room."

The courtroom erupted in laughter, and a prompt recess was called.
The officer on the stand has been nominated for this year's "Best Comeback" line -- and we think he'll win :)
